BJP launches new campaign to woo evening walkers

President of Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP), Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon, senior BJP leader and former civil aviation minister Harmohan Dhawan, on Tuesday, started a new campaign at Sector 15, wherein the party leaders approached the evening walkers to vote for the party.

President of Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP), Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon, senior BJP leader and former civil aviation minister Harmohan Dhawan, on Tuesday, started a new campaign at Sector 15, wherein the party leaders approached the evening walkers to vote for the party.

Dhawan said the campaign ‘Walk with Dhawan’ was aimed that highlighting the importance of their vote. “We will visit all the city parks to urge people to use their franchise to elect the right candidates and a responsive government at the Centre,” Dhawan said adding that like a walk, a must for healthy body, vote was also a must for a healthy and vibrant democracy.

The party also held a ‘ Namo Tea’ session at Sector 15 wherein vision of Narendra Modi was discussed with the locals.

Meanwhile, a ‘NaMo tea’ session was held by the party in Burail also. The party claimed that more than 400 people participated in the discussions held over the tea session organised by the party. Tandon and senior deputy mayor Hira Negi also participated in the campaign.

BJP’s human rights cell lauded the role of Chandigarh police in cracking a case wherein two girls went missing from the city on February 5.

Cell convenor Ramesh Sharma said the girls had now been recovered from Noida by the city police. A delegation of BJP’s human rights cell had met top police officials on February 25 urging the cops to expedite investigation into the case.
