Condemning the non-inclusion of former railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal in the chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the railgate scam, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh state president Sanjay Tandon on Thursday announced that they would observe a “black week” from Friday.
While addressing mediapersons at the BJP office in Sector 33, Tandon said the party had prepared a “citizens' chargesheet” that would reach every household of the constituency.
He said the CBI had admitted and charged that bribe was paid, the person who gave the bribe and other who accepted it were caught red-handed taking the money, beneficiaries have also been charged, but the only person who could do the job for which the money was being paid, the then railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, had not even been charged.
Tandon quoted from the CBI website, “The person in whose name touts are accepting bribe are also guilty and can be charged. We will follow Pawan Bansal, wherever he goes in the city and show him black flags.”
Former Chandigarh member parliament (MP) Satya Pal Jain questioned that if the CBI feels that the bribe was not for Bansal then for whom was it? Was it for the Prime Minister, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi or some other minister as no one lower than these could have done the promotion for which the money was being paid?”

“The detailed transcripts of the phone calls available with the CBI should be made public,” Jain said.
Former union aviation minister Harmohan Dhawan said Bansal would have to come to the court of the people who were in no mood to give him any clean chit.
