The accused, identified as Vicky, allegedly lost his cool after the minor victim and his sister threw coloured water on him from the balcony of their house on Holi. He allegedly entered the victims' first-floor house and thrashed the boy.

On hearing the commotion outside, the boy's mother, identified as Mamta Kaur, tried to intervene. The youth, however, slapped her, threatened her of dire consequences, and fled the spot. Police have started investigations after registering a case against the accused.
