The local unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) opened its election office for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled next year, here on Wednesday.

Opening it months before the announcement of dates for the Lok Sabha elections, the office situated in Sector 34 was inaugurated by Narendra Kashyap, all India general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP.
Speaking to mediapersons, Kashyap said, “We are very happy on opening the election office and thus officially starting our campaign for the Chandigarh seat. We have announced Jannat Jahaan as our face for the Chandigarh elections.”
Jannat Jahaan, BSP councillor and now MP candidate for Chandigarh seat, said, “I am very happy with the opening of my election office. Starting an office early will obviously give me an edge over other candidates as well as time to cover most parts of the city on ground level.”
