Bulgaria envoy calls on Charanjit Singh Atwal

A Bulgarian delegation led by ambassador Petko Doykov called on Punjab assembly speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal on Sunday here to discuss the possibility of joint ventures with the state in the tourism and food-processing sectors.

A Bulgarian delegation led by ambassador Petko Doykov called on Punjab assembly speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal on Sunday here to discuss the possibility of joint ventures with the state in the tourism and food-processing sectors.

The foreign delegation from the southeastern European country also had a tour of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to collected information about the working of parliamentary democracy in the state assembly. Terming the visit “memorable”, Bulgarian ambassador Doykov said his country was keen to co-operate with the Indian states for mutually benefit in the industrial and tourism sectors.

He said Bulgaria would support the India in her quest for permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council, since India was a peace-loving country. The assembly speaker gave away bouquets and mementoes to members of the delegation.
