CAT result: P'kula girl tops in tri-city

Panchkula resident Bhavya Bansal got highest 99.91 percentile in the tri-city. Bhavya is a final year student of Computer Science Engineering, University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University.

CAT is the main exam for the top MBA colleges, including Indian Institutes of Management (IIM).

Talking to Hindustan Times, Bhavya said, "Hard work and focus are the keys to my success. I paid a lot of attention on practicing mock tests and analysing my mistakes." Bhavya aims at making to one of the IIMs and pursue a career in human resource. Her father is a doctor, while her mother is working in a bank.

Lakshya Mittal, who is a fourth year student of electronics engineering in PEC University of Technology, has secured 99.89 percentile. Elated with the result, Lakshya said, "I give credit of my success to my teachers who guided me well. I hope to make it to one of the IIMs."

With the result announcement, the first stage of the admission process has come to an end. This will be followed by the second stage that consists of group discussions (GD), personal interviews and essay writing.
