Talking to the mediapersons here on Tuesday after paying obeisance to the Golden Temple, Badal said: "Media everyday is bringing out multi-crore scandals of Sarna brothers, who are looting the exchequer of DSGMC, but Congress government in the Centre by delaying the elections to the gurdwara management body of Delhi, is giving them extended opportunity to mint money without any electoral authorisation."

He said that it was sad chapter in the history of DSGMC that union home ministry was directly interfering in the religious affairs of Sikhs and Shiromani Akali Dal would expose the nefarious designs of Congress led UPA government.

Badal said elections to DSGMC should always be held on schedule and no one should be allowed to continue in office after the expiry of their term.

Badal said that every child in Punjab was aware of the fact that it was due to the pressure of union urban development ministry that we were forced to levy property tax on the people and no dharna could change the real picture."Let Captain organise dharna against central government or against proposed hike in the petrol, diesel and LPG and let him show his guts to stage dharna before 10 Janpath", he said and added that he would not dare to do this as he was already on ventilator provided by Sonia Gandhi.

Badal said Congress was no challenge to SAD-BJP government as it would die its own death due to internal dissention.

When asked about sugar prices, he said SAD-BJP government had fulfilled its promise by lowering the VAT on sugar and now it was imperative for the traders to bring down prices.

Earlier, Badal accompanied by Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, animal husbandry minister Gulzar Singh Ranike and district planning committee chairman Veer Singh Lopoke paid obeisance to Golden Temple.
