Charges against man, his fiancée of raping minor

The court has framed charges against a woman and her fiancé for raping a minor girl from Ambala under various sections of the protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act.

The court has framed charges against a woman and her fiancé for raping a minor girl from Ambala under various sections of the protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused, Shilpi, who used to work in a boutique, and her fiancé, Vijay, a private driver, were booked in July 2014 on the complaint of a Class-9 student for raping the minor girl on the pretext of giving her a job. The Panchkula police had then registered a zero FIR on complaint of the minor.

On November 5, additional district and sessions judge Anshu Shukla framed charges against the duo. According to the chargesheet, Shipli is accused by the cops of compelling the minor to develop physical relations with Vijay, while accused he will stand trial for raping the minor.
It is worth mentioning that in July 26, 2014, the minor girl had alleged that she was raped by Vijay on the pretext of giving her job in a call centre before dumping her in Ponta Sahib.

The victim's mother is a domestic help. She had met the accused outside her house when he asked about some address from her, following which they exchanged mobile numbers and assured her a job in a call centre.

On July 25, Vijay had called her to Manimajra for an interview from where he took her to his house. According to victim, she met Shilpi, who introduced herself as Priya, at his house. The girl had alleged that Shilpi told her to developed physical intimacy with Vijay if she wanted a job, before leaving the house.
