"Heat wave will persist, but the temperature will stabilise after two days," director, meteorological department, Surender Paul told HT.

Past two hottest days in the decade were June 1, 2012, and June 10, 2007. The Met said similar conditions would prevail on Saturday as well and had forecast that temperature would rise further. It predicted that the temperature would touch 45°C mark in next two days.
