Purnima exhibits classical mannequins of Indian men and women that are a blend of acrylic and fabric paint. Talking about her inspiration, she says, “My work is inspired by Padma Bhushan Jamini Roy’s paintings as they are bright and vibrant. Inspired by him, I have even added the flat stroke effect to my work.” Purnima adds, “I have used flat colours with minute details on the top.”

“When we step outside our college and walk around the green city, we see serene surroundings. That’s why I thought of giving city art enthusiasts a piece of Chandigarh’s green side,” shares Saundh before adding, “My vibrant colours and contrast usage are inspired by the great artiste Henri Matisse.”

The exhibition is on till November 2.
