Deputy commissioner of police Ashok Kumar said a case had been registered at the Padav police station and assistant police commissioner Baljinder Singh would investigate the matter.

Kumar said the victim had alleged that her husband Gulaba had died in 2002 and Rana had started visiting her at Hebatpur village in 2011.

The complainant has alleged that Rana had brought here to Ambala on the pretext of showing her a plot. She said he gave her juice laced with sedatives and raped her at a room in Cantt.

She further alleged that when she had attempted to lodge a complaint, Rana showed her an obscene video of the crime and threatened to kill her children. She said he had been blackmailing and raping her for the past one year.

She said he had also robbed her of jewellery worth over Rs 50,000 and Rs 3.5 lakh she had received after selling a plot.
