"Instead of pointing fingers at Kalia, Bhattal should introspect on her own deeds of corruption, when she during her chief ministership misused lakhs of rupees from the CM discretionary fund and brought a bad name to Punjab," state BJP general secretary Manjit Singh Rai said.

Claiming that the act even drew the ire of her own Congress party, he said Bhattal ended up facing an enquiry ordered during Capt Amarinder Singh's tenure as CM.

Bhattal had recently charged Kalia with taking money for giving party tickets to candidates during assembly elections in Punjab.

Rai said Kalia and other ministers were changed as part of organisational process and it was ratified by BJP incharge for Punjab Shanta Kumar, BJP general secretary JP Nadda and LK Advani.

Kalia had earlier demanded that the Election Commission investigate Bhattal's allegation against Amarinder Singh regarding election funds to the tune of Rs 300 crore to Rs 500 crore during 2012 assembly elections.
