Day after launch of MC app, 72 complaints received

A day after the launch of the helpline and application for mobile phones that would let residents file complaints with the municipal corporation (MC), a total of 72 complaints were received here on Thursday.

A day after the launch of the helpline and application for mobile phones that would let residents file complaints with the municipal corporation (MC), a total of 72 complaints were received here on Thursday.

Punjab local bodies minister Anil Joshi had inaugurated a centre along with launching a toll-free number, 1800-137-0007, and an Android-based mobile application for smart phones for filing complaints at the MC, SAS Nagar office, on Wednesday.

On day one, the MC received 54 complaints in the helpline of which 24 were regarding non-functional street lights. About 18 complaints were launched on the smart phone application named 'Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar Citizens Reporting and Mapping Tool'.
