Sector-11 station house officer inspector Malkit Singh said the case was registered after instructions of a local court and on the basis of a complaint filed by a former Red Cross Society employee, Sushil Kumar Taank.

Taank had alleged that Malik and Ahuja had harassed him in June last year by making remarks with reference to his caste. Taank claimed that whenever he entered the office, the two would pass remarks at him. The complainant also claimed that their behaviour caused mental harassment and disturbance to him.

The complainant, a resident of Khuda Ali Sher, said Poonam and Ahuja are relatives and harboured professional grudge against him. He approached a senior official and complained about the attitude of the two, but to no avail.
