"I am not feeling well and have been advised three-day rest," read the application moved by Anokh, who had accused Deshraj of taking Rs 1 lakh as bribe from him in lieu of giving him a clean chit in two departmental inquiries. The court was to record his statement in connection with the case.

The case will now be heard on January 3, 2014.

A 2008-batch officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), Deshraj was arrested by the CBI at his Sector-23 residence on October 18, 2012. Then posted as SP (city) and holding additional charge of SP (headquarters), Deshraj was allegedly accepting the bribe from Anokh, who had helped the CBI lay the trap. Deshraj is on bail at present.
