He hailed the decision of Delhi University and some other universities to do away with the RUSA-based four-year degree course. “The RUSA cannot be successfully implemented in our country and it has been proved failure,” said he in a press statement issued here.

He said that the RUSA system was a failure in such universities where the student-teacher ratio is minimum, while it was not possible in country like India.

“Student-teacher ratio is much higher in India than other countries,” added he.

Blaming RUSA system for depriving several students of education, he said maximum number of seats had been fixed in the colleges under RUSA depriving hundreds of students admission in colleges. “Before implementing the system, no survey or study had been conducted by the government,” added Dhumal.

Accusing the state government of failure in providing the educational infrastructure across the state, Dhumal said keeping the population of state in mind three years graduation system is suitable for the state.
