Poll expenditure of the candidate from Anandpur Sahib states that he has organised no less than 350 rallies and spent 11 lakh on them till date. As per queries from various owners of sound systems, it was found that just the system costs anywhere between 5,000 to 8,000. Chandumajra organises nearly 15 rallies per day.

On the other hand, Congress candidate Ambika Soni has organised nearly 300 rallies and spent 25 lakh, almost double the amount of the SAD candidate. Though, the maximum limit for a candidate to spend on elections is 70 lakh, Soni tops the list by spending a total of 38 lakh.

On use of vehicles, Chandumajra claims to have spent 7 lakh, with 10 lakh on advertisements. The total expenditure of the district election officer is 29 lakh. The Congress candidate, who organises nearly 12 rallies daily, claims to have spent 25 lakh, with 5 lakh on vehicles, and 8 lakh on advertisements.
Local Congress member of legislative assembly (MLA) Balbir Singh Sidhu, said, “Who will believe that Chandumajra is spending just 3,000 per rally. The figures are completely fake. How is it possible that the SAD Candidate, who started campaigning way before Ambika Soni, has just spent 11 lakh.”
