The cops checked the driver for drink-driving and found him guilty, for which the cops told the two that a challan would be issued. Both allegedly started arguing with the cops and misbehaved with the head constable.

The duo had also tried to snatch the challan book. They were booked under Sections 332 voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty, 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty) and 186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) of the IPC.
