Former Nangal MLA Rana KP Singh may face disciplinary action for allegedly opposing Congress candidate from ward number 17 of Nangal municipal council and Congress block president Paramjit Singh Pamma in the MC elections.

While talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) secretary and party observer for Anandpur Sahib assembly constituency Gurwinder Singh Bali said he had received complaints that Rana was openly opposing Paramjit Singh Pamma and supporting an independent candidate in Nangal. He said such an act was a clear violation of party discipline and he would recommend action against Rana to the state leadership.

Meanwhile, Pamma, who was at one time a close confident of Rana, and now owes allegiance to PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa, has also demanded action against Rana for opposing him in the elections.

He said Rana had devoted his entire energy to ensure his defeat and had greatly harmed the interests of the Congress in Nangal.
