The Chandigarh police are working on modalities to rope in experts to thoroughly analyse the killer stretches across the city.
Officials said road experts were being called in to the study the factors and causes behind the deadly accidents at some of the spots here.
These include the Sector 45-46 and Sector 48-49 intersections, Hallomajra light points and Kali Bari light point.
UT inspector general of police (IGP) RP Upadhyaya has issued instructions to the traffic cops to study in detail the accident spots and sent recommendations to make these areas safe.
Speeding is being seen as the reason behind Saturday’s collision between a Himachal Roadways bus and a Maruti Swift car which left 15 injured and killed five persons. Police officials said both the bus and the car were moving at a speed of 100 kilometre per hour.
A senior police official said the accident could not be solely because of external factors. Speeding can be controlled only by the motorists and they should drive responsibly.
