FDA raids chemist shops in Rohtak

The Food and Drug Administration(FDA) Haryana on Friday raided nine chemist shops near PGIMS, Rohtak and seized 17 different types of medicine that were physician samples and not for sale. The FDA team collected 27 samples of medicines from these shops, a spokesman said here.

The Food and Drug Administration(FDA) Haryana on Friday raided nine chemist shops near PGIMS, Rohtak and seized 17 different types of medicine that were physician samples and not for sale.

The FDA team collected 27 samples of medicines from these shops, a spokesman said here.
The seized drugs were packed and sealed and would be produced before the chief judicial magistrate, he said adding, further proceeding would be conducted under the Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940.

The medicine samples would be sent to government analyst in Haryana's drug laboratory for testing, he added.
