This year, like last year, a total of 12,500 seats- 6,000 seats in humanities, 1,800 in commerce and vocational courses and 3,000 in science stream-are up for grabs.
Officials said of the overall 15,200 applicants, 2,587 candidates have secured over CGPA 8 and it is their choice of streams and courses that would decide the overall cut-off in government schools.
Of the 2,587 students, over CGPA 8, 305 have secured a perfect CGPA 10, while 877 have between CGPA 9 and 9.8.
After the announcement of the final list, candidates will be have July 2 and 3 to submit fees.
