Additional district and sessions judge Preeti Sahni, on Friday, awarded life imprisonment to all the seven - mastermind Devinder Singh Whiskey, Manpreet Singh alias Manu, Surinder Singh alias Maana, Amrik Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Munish Sharma and Ravinder - for the murder of financier Harjinder Singh Dhillon in November 2009.

"All the accused are convicted for murder and sentenced to life imprisonment," pronounced the judge, thus putting an end to three-year-old murder case.

As per the prosecution, the convicts stormed into the office of Harjinder Singh Dhillon in sector 20 on November 25, 2009 and fired at him, resulting in his death. Prosecution said Dhillon was shot by accused Devinder Singh Whiskey, who wanted to resume possession of a car (PB-16-C-7070) registered in the name of Whiskey, but lying with Dhillon. While another accused Amrik Singh remained near the vehicle, the others went to Dhillon's office to get the keys of the car.

The police achieved its first major breakthrough in the case on December 6, 2009, when it nabbed four persons associated with Whiskey.
