Fog continues to disrupt air and rail traffic

The fog disrupted air and rail traffic on Monday as well with nine flights remained cancelled and trains were running behind schedule.

On Monday owing to poor visibility Jet airways cancelled 5 flights, Spicejet cancelled 2 flights, Air Asia India and Indigo cancelled one flight each.

Owing to dense fog in Delhi the trains coming to city were running behind schedule. On Monday the Shatabdi which was to arrive in Chandigarh at 11 am chugged in at 7 pm while the evening Shatabdi was more than 2 hours late to depart for Delhi and left at 930 pm. Howrah- Chandigarh train was 11 hours behind schedule.
