Former PU student leader Harpreet Multani complained to the police that a group of youth opened fire at him near Kishangarh on Thursday night. Multani said a group of youth led by Simranjit Singh Sandhu chased him in three SUVs and opened fire at him behind near Kishangarh.

Manimajra SHO Charanjit Singh said, “We got a call from Multani who alleged that he was fired at. We reached the spot but couldn’t find cartridges. We are trying to verify Multani’s claim. No case has been registered so far.” Some eyewitnesses said there was commotion and they saw a group of youth running after Multani, but did not hear any gun shots being fired.
