Four held for gambling, Rs. 2,730 cash recovered from possession

The local police arrested four persons on the charges of gambling and recovered Rs.2,730 cash from their possession in Chandigarh on Sunday.All the accused were booked under section 13A-3-67 of the Gambling Act and were later released on bail.

In the first incident, police arrested Shiva, resident of Dhanas, from near Toggan Barrier, Dhanas Road, and recovered Rs. 540 from his possession. In another incident, Vinay, resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh, was held from Sector 25, and Rs.860 was recovered from his possession.

Bharaham Pal, resident of Rajiv Colony, Panchkula, was arrested from near a kerosene oil pump, Mauli Jagran, and Rs 680 was recovered from his possession. Police apprehended Saurab Kumar, resident of Mauli Complex, from near Sabji Mandi, Vikas Nagar, and recovered Rs. 650 from his possession.
