Anticipating the police siege, the ashram management had piled up huge ration stock before November 18, the day of police action, and the colossal stock could have sustained the followers for a few days more in the ashram.

Manoj Saini, lawyer of Rampal, expressed satisfaction over the fairness of the auction as he was among five members of the auction committee.

Rampal followers taken into custody

A day after six people, including Satlok Ashram head Rampal’s key aide OP Hooda, were arrested, Hisar police on Friday took into custody a couple from Uttar Pradesh, who had left a firearm inside the ashram.

Shyam Sunder and his wife Sangeeta, who hail from UP, came to Barwala police station and said they had come to the ashram on November 7 with the former’s licensed firearm.
