Granny kills newborn girl in Sirsa

In a shocking incident a newborn girl was throttled to death by her grandmother at Thed Mohalla of Sirsa on Tuesday evening. The newborn girl child, first child of Amandeep Kaur and Suraj Singh, was born around 2.30pm at Civil Hospital, Sirsa and was strangulated to death around 7 pm the same day.

The newborn girl child, first child of Amandeep Kaur and Suraj Singh, was born around 2.30pm at Civil Hospital, Sirsa and was strangulated to death around 7 pm the same day. The couple was married in February lat year.

The grandmother was unhappy with the birth of the girl. Police have booked accused Jasvir Kaur under section 302 of IPC on the complaint of victim's mother on Wednesday. The accused grandmother is absconding.
