The tall claims by both municipal corporation (MC) and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) authorities seemed to have been washed away as the daylong rain exposed their preparedness for the monsoon.

The internal roads of various sectors which are either broken or have been dug up got filled up with rainwater, creating problem for commuters. Blocked gullies added to the woes.

Varun Bhandhari, a resident of Sector 15, said, "We face these issues during every monsoon. Though some of the roads in other sectors have been repaired, the roads in Sector 15 are still crying for attention. During rains it just becomes impossible to walk."

The Industrial Area too witnessed waterlogging at certain places.

According to some businessmen in the area, the roads are broken due to transportation of material in heavy motor vehicles and the authorities never pay any attention to it.

Meanwhile, waterlogging and issues due to bad roads could be seen in sectors 15, 16 and 17, and on the internal roads of sectors 7, 8 and 9.
