A day after a complaint was filed by a senior Haryana government official that he was beaten up and robbed of his wallet and car on Monday, the UT police released sketches of three of the accused here on Tuesday.
Ishwar Singh, an undersecretary of Haryana law department, reported that he was thrown out of his Suzuki Swift Dzire after being waylaid by a group of four youngsters.
According to the police, efforts are on to track the accused.
However, they have still not been able to identify them.
A police team inspected the spot from where the officer was picked, and also went to Kurali, where he was dumped.
During the course of investigation, the officer’s mobile phone was recovered on Kurali Road.
Deputy superintendant of police (DSP), crime, Jagbir Singh, is carrying out the investigation and has viewed the CCTV footage of different areas.
The accused were in a Maruti 800 car, said Ishwar. According to the police, the investigations indicate that the officer was kidnapped and thrashed with the intention of robbery.
Ishwar was returning home in Sector 7 after dropping his son at the Sector 43 ISBT on Monday morning when his car was waylaid by a group of four youngsters. They were standing beside a car and signalled him to stop, asking directions for Sector 17. When he halted, one of them took out his car keys and told him to move to the rear of the vehicle.
