Stating this on Tuesday, a department spokesperson said that the temporary arrangement would be made till they were filled by concrete or wooden sheet and would be guarded in such a way that small children and animals were not be able to reach the site of the bore holes.

After covering the bore holes with iron, wooden or plastic coverings, they would be duly guarded by temporary walls around them, he said.

He added that in case of bore hole for soil investigation these would be refilled immediately after taking the sample and compacted properly to avoid any mishappening.
