As she croons numbers from Journey to the Sun, her debut album, 33-year-old Pragnya says the compilation that includes Naive, In the Rain, Rise and Flying High, are inspired from the many experiences of her life.

Starting out as a one-woman band of Soul Strings, Pragnya affirms it seemed a bit far-fetched then. "But today, when I look back, I feel excited," adds the guitarist/vocalist/songwriter.

Over the past few years, Pragnya has been gaining popularity in the Indo-western music scene. She also recently shared the stage with bands Shaair+Func, The Raghu Dixit Project and Parikrama, apart from giving a solo performance at the Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival. One of the highest points of her career, smiles Pragnya, is the praise she received from renowned singer Shubha Mudgal.

As Pragnya's vocals and creative performances bag the limelight, she gets set to receive listeners' reviews for her album, which she says showcases a confluence of a wide variety of sounds and features some of India's finest musicians.
