High court gets five new additional judges

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday got five more additional judges as the chief justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul administered oath of office and secrecy to four judges from Punjab cadre and one from Haryana.

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday got five more additional judges as the chief justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul administered oath of office and secrecy to four judges from Punjab cadre and one from Haryana.

Those who took oath are Haryana cadre district judge Anita Chaudhary (Panchkula), Punjab cadre district judges Mahavir Singh Chauhan (Sangrur), Fateh Deep Singh (Ferozepur) and Jaspal Singh (Bathinda) and high court registrar general Surender Gupta.This has raised the strength of judges to 47 against the sanctioned strength of 68.
