Hisar gangrape: 5 more arrested

Eighteen days after a 15-year-old Dalit girl was gangraped by a dozen youths in Hisar's Dabra village, the police managed to arrest five more suspects on Wednesday. The arrest came in the wake of mounting pressure from the Dalit community and local politicians from the Bahujan Samaj Party and Indian National Lok Dal. But even now, 6 of the suspects, who belong to the powerful Jat community, roam free.

The girl's father committed suicide on September 18 after the rapists threatened to circulate an MMS clip of the crime.
