Speculations have been rife about rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh’s mysterious disappearance from the public eye since October last year.
While some reports suggested that he checked into a rehab in the city for drug abuse, some claimed that he was battling ill health.
Finally, Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi, who met Singh a few months ago, has revealed that the 32-year-old was indeed in a rehab.
“I’m really sad about what he went through. He used to be such a jolly fellow, a person with great energy... not just during stage performances but even otherwise,” he said.
Asked what really happened to Singh, Jassi said: “Wohi steroids waghera... bohot bimaar tha woh. I felt bad when I met him in a rehab in Chandigarh a few months ago. Bilkul ajeeb sa ho gaya tha.” He added, “Uske manager ne mujhe bataya ki Honey ki recovery toh achchi ho rahi hai.”
