Actor Deepika Padukone, who will be seen with former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming film, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, says that the Rockstar was one of the reasons why she signed the film.
Deepika, 27, who visited the HT City office, Delhi, on Monday along with co-stars Ranbir Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Kalki Koechlin shares, “When I agreed to do the film I had not read the script, but I had faith in Ayan and working with Ranbir was the other reason why I said ‘yes’ to the film.” The duo who have been paired earlier (Bachna Ae Haseeno, 2008), say that they have put up a better show this time around.
“I think we have matured as actors and have better on-screen chemistry now,” says Deepika.
The film revolves around the friendship of the four central characters, who by Ranbir’s confession, are wild. “But I don’t relate to my character at all. I am not adventurous and I don’t like to travel,” confesses the 30-year-old actor.

{{/usCountry}}“Aditya did a lot of bad things to me during the first few days and then I bullied him back...we’ve done all kinds of things, like tripping each other over,” shares Ranbir, adding, “And hopefully you’ll see that fun in the film too.”
