Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) workers created a ruckus on the second day in a row here after one of its youth leader allegedly attempted to take over the vacant plot of one Kanda worker on Thursday.
As per details, some INLD workers led by its youth leader reached the vacant plot of Angrej Batla, the municipal councellor of ward number 10 and a Kanda supporter, at Kirti Nagar Colony. Seeing a large number of muscle men accompanied by INLD youth leader Vinod Beniwal, colony residents registered their protest and informed the matter to plot owner Batla.
Upon receiving the information, city station house officer (SHO) Vikram Nehra reached the spot and summoned both the parties (INLD workers and Kanda supporters) at the city police station with land-related documents. Both the parties clashed inside the police station in the presence of police force. INLD workers whisked away after the incident, while Kanda supporters filed a complaint with police.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Batla said: "INLD workers led by Beniwal came with the intention of encroaching upon my Kirti Nagar plot but we (Kanda supporters) opposed them. They manhandled us at the police station. We have registered a complaint at the city police station and now going to meet the superintendent of police (SP) regarding the case."
