Inspector Vinayak gave a detailed complaint to the senior officials on Monday. He met UT senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sukchain Singh Gill and assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Urvija Goel, who is conducting inquiry in the complaint. The ASP said they had initiated probe and would submit the report soon.

The air-conditioner, which triggered the controversy, was removed from the DSP East office in Sector 26. Talking to the mediapersons, Vinayak said: “I have discussed the matter with my seniors and the inquiry is on.”

He had sent a message on Thursday in the police chat group on mobile messenger application WhatsApp levelling allegations against the DSP. Now the station house officer is expected to produce bills of the money he claims to have spent on the DSP’s air ticket, an airconditioner and renovation of her house.
