Jammu and Kashmir should also be given nine subsidised cooking gas cylinders in a year to consumers, a minister said here on Saturday. The state cabinet has to take a decision in this regard, consumers affairs and public distribution minister Qamar Ali Akhoon told IANS.

The central government announced last week that a family can get only six subsidised gas cylinders in a year. The Congress said this number would go up to nine in all Congress-ruled states.
"I feel that even Jammu and Kashmir should give three extra cooking gas cylinders to consumers," Akhoon said.
