Police have retrieved the chat records of Raksha Sharma, a girl who allegedly hanged herself on Tuesday night, and accused Lovepreet Singh. The chat shows that the accused used abusive language against the girl, as was alleged by her in the suicide note.

The police retrieved the conversation held between the two from July 21 to August 9, by accessing the facebook page of Singh.

The printed version of the chat which was accessed by Hindustan Times, shows that the accused had used offensive language against the girl. Interestingly, girl still kept chatting with Singh.

There was no record found of any conversation between the two after August 9. The chat record shows that Raksha said, good bye to accused forever on August 9. The two also talked about some monetary issue, however, it was not clear in the chat, what exactly the issue was all about.

Sources said that the period after August 9, when both stopped chatting via facebook, could be the period when accused wrote derogatory comments on the facebook wall of the deceased girl, which was visible to other users and started pressuring her for paying back the money he had given her. It is important to mention that deceased in suicide note had also alleged that accused were harassing her for past one week.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Balkar Singh said, the conversation recovered by police clearly shows that accused had used the obnoxious language against the girl while chatting with her.

"The facebook conversation accessed by police will form a sound proof against the accused and police will present these in court along with the challan, whenever challan is filed in the case," he said.
