The three-day Jor Mela began at Bhatta Sahib gurdwara on Wednesday.
"A large number of devotees paid obeisance at the gurdwara. The 'path' of Sri Akhand Path was started and 'bhog' will be held on December 19,"said an organisor. On the first day of the fair, devotees also took part in 'nagar kirtan' and 'langars'.
The nagar kirtan procession was taken out from Gurugarh Sadabart gurdwara, which passed through Rupnagar town and other surrounding areas before culminating at Bhatta Sahib gurdwara.
Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will also organise its political conference on the occasion of the fair on Thursday.
