The second tournament of the Chandigarh Golf Club Junior Championship Series will be held on October 5. The event is open for members as well as non-members of Chandigarh, Panchkula, SAS Nagar and Punjab.
“We are happy with the response for the first tournament held on August 10, which saw a total of 90 participants. The club will conduct six one day tournaments till April next year,” club president Birinder Singh Gill said.
The Chandigarh Golf Club junior Championship is open to junior golfers aged between 6 to 18 years with a total of six categories. Category A (under18); Category B ( under- 15); Category C (under-13); Category D (under-11); Category E (under9); Category F (under-7).
Category E and F will play nine holes only. The event will be played on a Gross format.
There will be three prizes in each category for boys and two prizes in each category for girls. In addition to this there will be a prize for the longest drive and nearest-to-pin in each category.
Interested can their names to the Chandigarh Golf Club Reception latest by October 3. The draw will be put up on the notice board one day before the championship.
