Kabbadi player brings laurels to state at Asiad

Kavita, a resident of Jagatsukh village here, who was a part of the team that won gold in kabbadi at the Asian Games in south Korea was congratulated by local MLA Govind Singh Thakur, zila parishad chairman Hari Chand Sharma and vice-chairman Dhaneshweri Thakur.

They said Kavita, who comes from a poor family, had brought laurels to both the state and the country. Thakur and Sharma urged the state to reward her suitably and recruit her in a government job. INTUC state president DR Joshi also congratulated Kavita and said that sports enthusiasts in Kullu should accord a warm reception to her when she returns.
