Keetu's killers will be nabbed soon: Badal

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, on Tuesday evening, met the bereaved family members of former SAD MLA Malkit Singh Keetu, who was done to death allegedly by his relatives over a property dispute, in Bilaspur village of Moga district and assured them that the culprits would soon be nabbed.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, on Tuesday evening, met the bereaved family members of former SAD MLA Malkit Singh Keetu, who was done to death allegedly by his relatives over a property dispute, in Bilaspur village of Moga district and assured them that the culprits would soon be nabbed.

Badal recalled the commitment of Keetu towards the party and his selfless services to the unprivileged sections of the society.

The chief minister also met senior police officials and directed them to nab the five persons mentioned in the FIR at the earliest. "The police are on the job. Those behind the murder of our senior leader will not be spared," said Badal.

Expressing heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, the chief minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.

"Keetu was a loyal leader of the SAD who was dedicated to the people of Barnala assembly constituency. He worked hard for the SAD, and the party will reciprocate his services by extending all possible help to his family members," said Badal.

The CM was accompanied by MP Paramjeet Kaur Gulshan, chief parliamentary secretary Mantar Singh Brar, SAD spokesman Balwant Singh Ramoowalia, CM's media adviser Harcharan Singh Bains, Darbara Singh Guru, former principal secretary to the CM, and local MLA Rajwinder Kaur Bhagike.
