Krishna Punia appointed Fatehabad DCC president

Senior woman leader of the Congress and member of Social Welfare Board, Krishna Punia has been appointed president of the Fatehabad district Congress committee (DCC) by state president Ashok Tanwar with the consent of Shobha Ojha, national president of women wing of the party. Punia is a member of the district grievances committee and telephone advisory committee. She had been an INLD leader for about 17 years and had quit INLD in 2010.

Punia was interviewed for this post among other candidates. Earlier the appointment of Usha Dahiya, her predecessor, was made through nomination. Punia has thanked the chief minister for his support to her.
