Lok Sabha polls: Bajwa, Jakhar on screening panel

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Bajwa and Leader of the Opposition Sunil Jakhar have found a place in the party's screening committee to select candidates from the state for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.

PC Chako heads the screening committee for Punjab as its chairman, with Deepak Babaria, Bajwa and Jakhar as its members, a party press note said here.

Shakeel Ahmed has been appointed overall in-charge for Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana, while Ambika Soni would be in charge of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir, the party release added.
