Love for the lens

From mountains to birds, an offbeat moment to sports — capturing certain things in one’s lens is a quirky passion. Sanjay Kaushal, 56, is one of those passionate people. Exhibiting his third solo photography exhibition called Hues of Ladakh at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, he shares his love for the camera.

From mountains to birds, an offbeat moment to sports — capturing certain things in one’s lens is a quirky passion. Sanjay Kaushal, 56, is one of those passionate people. Exhibiting his third solo photography exhibition called Hues of Ladakh at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, he shares his love for the camera.

Currently working as a development officer at a city-based insurance company, Kaushal has been into photography for the past 20 years. “I have not learnt photography from anywhere but I am a part of the Photography Society of Chandigarh. It’s a group of photographers; I just learnt basic photography tips while interacting with the group members. Though the group that was started by 15 members is not very active now, it made its presence felt a few years ago,” he says.

An avid traveller, Kaushal has travelled through the entire Himachal, most of Ladakh and north Sikkim and has been lucky enough to click some candid shots. “My passion, however, has always been clicking mountains,” he adds.
