Man gets 10-yr jail for possessing drugs
A local court has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for illegally possessing drugs and intoxicants.Rupnagar additional sessions judge Jatinder Kaur also imposed a fine of Rs1 lakh on the convict, RaghbirSingh of Rolu Majra village. She ordered that in case the fine was not paid, the convict would undergo imprisonment for another one year.

Chamkaur Sahib Police had arrested Raghbir Singh of Rolu Majra village from a naka near Salempur village on May 1, 2013, and recovered one gram smack and 1,100 ml liquid intoxicants from his possession. He was booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
