Man stabbed to death in Ambala

A Nayagaon resident was allegedly killed after he was attacked by a 'rehri' owner with a sharp-edged weapon near his house on Saturday.

A Nayagaon resident was allegedly killed after he was attacked by a 'rehri' owner with a sharp-edged weapon near his house on Saturday.

The body of Gopal Krishan (45) was recovered from near the railway crossing. His relatives alleged that the victim had an argument with Sahil alias Sukvinder following which the latter inflicted fatal injuries on him.

On receipt of information, assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Hitesh Yadav and other senior officers reached the spot and started investigations.

Officials said a case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC has been registered against the suspect.
