People's Party of Punjab (PPP) rebel Arunjot Sodhi on Thursday said party president Manpreet Singh Badal should resign in view of the PPP's humiliating defeat in the Moga byelection.

Sodhi said in a statement here that it was the "stubborn nature and the dictatorial attitude of the party president that not only endangered existence of the party but also demolished the chance of a third alternative coming to Punjab."
